Betsy Muñoz is a proud Latina who was born and raised in Arizona, in the cities of Tolleson and West Phoenix. She is the daughter of immigrants and a product of our local public schools.
Muñoz graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Public Policy where she has worked for education nonprofit organizations to increase college access for all students. Muñoz coaches school staff from multiple schools across the West Valley on how to better support and prepare our students for their college and career journey, and she assists students with college applications, scholarships, and FAFSA.
Muñoz’s experience in education has fueled her passion to run as she has witnessed the gaps in our public education system and its effect on our communities. Her aim is to ensure our students, families, and community are at the forefront of conversations at the state legislature.
Dedicated to improving education, housing, economic growth, and healthcare access for a sustainable and inclusive future.
"I have spent my life within this district's boundaries, including Tolleson, Avondale, Glendale, and West Phoenix. I am proud to be a lifelong resident of this district and have witnessed its development and growth. We need someone to represent us who will ensure our residents and small businesses aren’t left
behind."
